Jensen Residence

Sometimes it can be difficult when a client comes in with a sketch or locks in on an idea early on in the design process. It can feel a bit stifling, with boundaries dictating how far we can go. That, however, was not this case with the Jensen Residence. With the bold request of a “barndominium,” this project was anything but ordinary from the start. With the freedom to bring the barn into the 21st century, I was able to experiment with a bold form and unique windows, not to mention the two story wooden screen entry. This home sits on 2 acres with two other accessory buildings, making it a compound this family never has to leave.
